13 Months Old

Blakely you are growing way too fast! You are such a sweet little girl and we are having so much fun with you.Well, I wouldn't say that you are officially walking yet, but you have taken about 5-8 steps between me and your daddy. You are still very cautious about letting go of something and taking that first step. I know you can do it but you are just taking your precious time. You crawl and cruise all over the house. You are into everything!You are saying new words everyday. You try to repeat what we are saying. It is so cute. I think your favorite word to say is bye, bye. I guess since we are always on the go. Having two dogs in the house keeps you busy with always saying “dog, dog, dog.” If you see a picture of a dog or a statue you start pointing and saying “dog, dog.” You say outs for outside. You will crawl to the front door or the door to the garage and start saying outs… You love being outside! Blakely you are able to point to your mouth, nose and sometimes eyes. Reading all you books is one of your favorite things to do. You will go to where your books are, pull them all on the floor and start flipping all the pages. Sometimes I think you just like to pull things off of the shelves. You love to take things out of baskets/boxes and then put them back in. You can entertain yourself for a while doing this. You are still a great eater. You eat anything we do. You really love your fruit, especially bananas. Scrambled eggs and toast are your favorite for breakfast. Lunch and Dinner is usually some type of meat, veggie and fruit. If you have already eaten and we eat after you, you will basically beg for our food. You want what we are drinking and eating. Your daddy has been giving you ice cream lately and you act like you can’t get enough of that yummy ice cream.
You are a true sweetie and we love you so much!!!

Go Hogs!!

Saturday we went to go tailgate before the AR/AL game. We had such a good time and you enjoyed walking around in the parking lot. We didn't go to the game, because I just don't think I want to take a baby to a game yet. Maybe in a couple of more years. Debbie, Mark and Marisa it was good to see you all!Blakely you are too funny when you are walking-you stick that tongue out as far as you can.

I'm in a big girl seat!

Blakely we moved your car seat around so you can finally see what is going on. I was going to wait a little longer to move you around, but you just keep getting so hot turned backwards. You really enjoyed seeing all there is to see.

Labor Day Weekend

Yes I am a little late on getting this posted, but we have been busy. We had a wonderful weekend with family. Your Uncle Kenny, Aunt Terri, cousins Darby, Colby and Zach came to see us. We actually had another birthday celebration for you. They wanted to come to your actual party, but wanted to stay longer so they all came for the long weekend. You had so much fun playing with them. You especially enjoyed playing soccer with everyone. Uncle Kenny held you while he was running around and you LOVED it. You thought you were such a big girl. We want to thank you all for coming to see us. We wish you all lived closer so we could all hang out together more often. We love you all and miss you!!!!I also only took 3 pictures. We were having so much fun I forgot about the camera. You were about to take a nap before I took the picture of you and Darby. You had to have your blankee in your mouth.

My First Birthday Party

You had your first Birthday party on Saturday. You had such a good time with your family and friends. We had a duck theme for your party. You enjoyed eating your cake, playing with all of your friends, getting into the kiddie pool and holding on to all of the balloons. Blakely you loved all of your new toys. Eating your own little cake was great. You just keep eating it and eating it. We really want to thank everyone for coming to the party and being so giving to Blakely. We especially want to thank your great Grandma Jenna for coming. It was so special for her to be there.

12 Months Old

Wow Blakely! We can't believe that you are one. It seems like you have been with us forever. This past year has been wonderful and we look forward to the next year as you begin to learn more and more.
Stats:Weight: 20 lbs 6 ozHeight: 30 1/2 inches
Clothes: 12 months, size 3 diaper
Teething: still have six teeth
Movement: This past month you started crawling and started getting into everything. We thought you would skip crawling, but you just took you time until you wanted to do it. You pull up on everything and cruise all around. I honestly think it will be a couple of months before you begin walking. You are fearful of just hanging on with one hand when we are walking with you.
Eating: You eat almost everything. I still give you 3rd foods cereal, but everything else is table food or toddler food. You love scrambled eggs, toast, any fruit, peas, carrots and green beans. I really could list almost any food. We are so glad you are a good eater.
Talking: You are saying a lot of new words. You try to repeat what we are saying. If I ask you to come here you can crawl to me. You will bring me some of you toys if I ask you. There are times I think you have your own little conversation with yourself. You love to say Bye Bye! Anytime we walk toward the garage you start saying it.
Toys/Books/Activity: You got a lot of new toys for your b-day. We can't wait to start playing with them. You still love balls and are really good at throwing them. Your dad thinks that one day you will be the star soccer player. You love putting things in boxes and then taking them out. You love books and are starting to want me to read the same book over and over. You like to watch TV. You love the DoodleBops and Elmo.
Blakely we look forward to the next year with all the exciting changes that you will have. We love you so so much and are so proud of you.
Oh by the way you have turned into a daddy's girl. When your daddy comes home you want nothing to do with me and you want everything to do with your daddy. It makes your daddy so proud.

Happy 1st Birthday!

We love you so much sweetheart and want to thank you for the best year ever. I will write more later about things going on and about your party that is this Saturday! One picture is from a year ago and the other are from today. You have a cold and are feeling miserable, but it sure didn't stop you from eating some of your daddy's cookie cake.

Week at Mrs. Debbie's

Last week we stayed with Mrs. Debbie and Mr. Mark. Mommy had to go to some teacher meetings so Mrs. Debbie watched you. Mommy is going back to work for just two days a week. You had such a fun time playing with Max (their dog), crawling and trying to get to Debbie's computer, and you also tried eating a lemon and loved it. Thank you so much Debbie and Mark for letting us stay and especially thank you Debbie for watching Blakely. We love you guys!!!

I can Crawl!

Blakely you can crawl! We really thought you would skip crawling since you are pulling up and cruising around. Yesterday we went to Bella's Birthday party and you just started crawling. Ryan Tallent was at the Nutts and he was crawling all around you and then I think you just decided "Hey, I am going to crawl too." You had a big audience and everyone one was cheering for you. My First Swim Lessons

Blakely you took swim lessons at Swim Ranch this past week. You had so much fun and learned a lot. You learned how to climb out of the pool, get in the pool, float, doggie paddle, use a kick board and many other things. You were such a great little kicker all week. We had a lot of fun with our friends Caroline, Sam and their mommies. Your dad and I took you to the family swim time on Friday night and you got to show daddy all of the stuff that you learned. We are so proud of you sweetie!!!

11 months old

Well Blakely I guess we are officially counting down to your first birthday. It is hard to believe that in a month you will be a year old. You are learning and doing so many exciting things.

*Food: Blakely you are completely on whole milk except at night I am still nursing. You are pretty much eating table food. For breakfast your favs are toast, scrambled eggs, waffles, oatmeal cereal, bananas and yogurt. Lunch you will eat a variety of stuff-you really love grilled cheese. Dinner you eat whatever we are eating. Your favorite veggies are carrots and peas. You also love rotini pasta. I am so glad you are not a picky eater!!Talk: Blakely you are a little talker. It seems like you are saying a new word everyday. Lately you have been saying this and that when you point to stuff. You try to repeat what we are saying. It is so cute. Here are the words you have said: duck, ball, mama, dada, bye-bye, hi, papaw, zack, light, jeb, dog, max, blankee(only once), bath, juice, this, that and probably some others that I have left off. *Sleep: Most of the time you go to sleep around 8 and get up at 7:30. You take two naps and day and there are days that you take one big nap.*Clothes: 6-12 months, size 2 shoe (you have really small feet), size 3 diaper*Activity: We have finally declared that you are not going to crawl. At first I think I was a little upset that you weren't crawling, but I have decided that you are going to do what you want to do and when you want to do it. So..You are cruising all over the place and pushing your walker. You love it! You have enjoyed swimming this summer. You are currently taking swimming lessons and are loving every minute. *You love to dance!*You love to clap your hands when you do something and we cheer for you.*You really do have a cute little personality! Blakely you are truly a sweet little girl and are such a blessing to us. We love you so much potters!

Yummy Corn on the Cob
