Happy Birthday to Lilly!!!!

Our Sweet Lilly turned two today (even though she says she is 3...silly girl)! We LOVE you so much and wish you the happiest birthday ever. We will celebrate more this weekend at her party.

When we were in MO a couple of weeks ago, Lillly supported some cute little pigtails. She doesn't have much hair, but I just couldn't wait for the pig tails. :-)

Mommy didn't feed me enough tonight.

Lilly is 13 months old and is such a cute, cute mess. She will walk to me and take about five to seven steps, but still doesn't have the confidence to do it all by herself. She has a very strong personality and doesn't like people to get in the way of what she wants. Not sure how many times I have heard from Blakely, "mom Lilly pushed me, mom Lilly took my toy away from me, MOMMY, Lilly is trying to push me out of my chair!" Then I also hear from Blakely, "mom, lilly shared with me, mom, Lilly is giving me kisses." Such great sisterly love. Lilly loves to eat and will eat almost anything. She currently has 5 teeth. She still loves her paci. Most days she still takes two naps, but lately it has been one. She sleeps all night long. Lilly you are such a joy!!!

Lilly's First Steps

Lilly took her first steps today! We were at the Nutts and I was showing Sara how I just stand Lilly up and then she sits right back down and the next thing I knew she decided to take about four steps. So Sara ran over and got her camera-hopefully she will send the picture soon. The Nutts must have some magic at there house because Blakely first started crawling at their house, Lilly rolled over there and now Lilly took her first steps there.

Lilly is One!!

Our little Lilly is 1! She is such a sweet, sweet little girl. Full of life and love.

We had our 1 year check this past Monday. Weight: 19.4 lbs 25% Height: 75% The doctor said she was perfect and that she was right on track. She couldn't believe that she wasn't walking yet, because the way that she just stands all by herself. She of course will start walking when she is ready, so I'm not to worried about it. She is starting to talk a little more, she loves to jibber-jabber and scream for fun like her sister.

She loves to take baths, eat-not picky at all, play with her sister, blow kisses and give kisses, being held, her paci, her blanket, being outside, getting into cabinets, pulling out all the toys, crawling, saying "hi" on the phone, trying to eat my phone, getting in the dog kennel, smiling, playing with the fisher price house, the animal magnets on the frig, her daddy and mommy.

She dislikes not getting her way-she can throw some fits, when I take the phone away, when her sister hugs her to tight, when she falls, when she has to wait for food or something to drink.

Lilly's First Birthday Party

Lilly had a great and wonderful 1st birthday party. We had it at Fun City-since most of the kids were going to be older I thought it would be fun for them. All the kids enjoyed eating pizza, playing games and having yummy cake. Lilly just took it all in and LOVED eating her cake. I will let the slide show tell the story-I hope to get more pictures from grammy and nana. Yes I know this song is a little sad, but I'm a little sad that my baby turned one. I just want to keep holding on to my little Lilly forever and I know I will miss these times so much.

11 Months Old

Our little Lilly is 11 months old. It is so hard to believe that next month she will be 1 years old. Time has flown by.
You are such a sweet, sweet little girl. You love to give kisses and lay you head down on our shoulder and cuddle. I have to say that currently you Dad is your favorite. You love him to hold you and when he comes home you crawl so fast to get to him. Of course you love you sister and watch her every move. You don't like her when she grabs toys away from you. I love listening to you all laugh and play with each other...it is precious. You are a great eater and will eat any baby food. We have been giving you table foods as well. You LOVE your bottle and I am having a hard time giving you sippy cups-there is only one type you will drink out of. You take two naps a day and sleep from around7:30/8 to 7 in the morning. You love to play with all of our toys-your favorites are the Leap Frog table, Fisher Price House and the little Kitchen. You love to open and close doors and you try to get into all of the cabinets and when you get into the one that doesn't have a lock on it you pull everything out. You are my little messier. I'm not sure about the walking thing. You love to crawl and when we hold both of your hands to walk you can do it, but then you would rather crawl to get where you need to go. You are starting to stand by yourself for longer periods of time. You also love to dance and when you hear music you start moving all around. It is just so cute. We love you Lilly!!! Happy 11 months!!!

What is going on with Lilly?

Well Lilly you are very active these days. You love to get into everything! I pick up after you more than Blakely. You think it is so fun to stand up and let go. I'm not sure if you will walk soon. When I try to walk with you, you just get down on all fours so you can go faster. You are also a little talker these days. You said your first official word a few weeks ago-duck-the same as Blakely and your Daddy. You and Blakely have screaming sessions in the car-for fun! I had to pull over twice yesterday in the car to get on to the both of you. You are definitely a Daddy's girl! When he comes home you want nothing to do with me. You LOVE your Daddy!!! I can't believe on October 12 you will be one! We love you sugars and love getting sloppy kissed from you!

Lilly is 10 Months Old

On Tuesday Lilly was 10 months old. She is so much fun these days and has the cutest little personality. She is such a sweetie and loves to cuddle. On the other hand she loves to get into everything so she can see what kind of mess she can make.
You love to crawl around and are really fast at it. You love trying to get in the refrigerator when I open the door. You can move across the floor in no time when you hear that door open. You pull up on everything and are starting to cruise furniture. You love to clap your hands and move to the music.
Verbally you love making different sounds. You have said bye, bye and Dada but we are still working on Mama. You can sign language more when eating. You love play with your toys. Your favorites are the fisher price house and the leap frog table. You love playing with your sissy until she gets a little bit to rough with you.
You are eating three meals a day and drinking about 4 bottles-one is a sippy cup. I've got to get better about giving you a sippy cup more. You eat pretty much anything except 3rd foods with meat. We have been getting you some table foods and you really like those too.
You sleep from around 8 until 7 and take two naps a day.
You are definitely our busy body with lots of energy. We love you Lilly!!!

Lilly is 9 months old

Our little Lilly is growing so much everyday. She is an active little thing and is all over the place. She is definitely our Lilly the Explorer.

Weight: 18 lbs 40%
Height: 28 1/4 75%

Physical Development: crawls, pulls up on everything, bounces up and down when you hear music, claps, close to waving bye-bye

Verbal Development: Still babbling a lot-this is the main difference between you and Blakely at this stage-you are a lot more physical and Blakely was a lot more verbal. Currently Lilly is concentrating more on the physical part than verbal.

Food: I am still nursing in the morning and then you get about 3 bottles during the day. You eat cereal and fruit for breakfast, veggie or fruit for lunch and dinner time is meat/veggie combo and fruit. You have eaten several table foods and really like them. You do not like drinking from a sippy cup at all you throw it down when I give it to you. We will have to continue to work on drinking from the sippy cup.

You go to sleep around 7:30-8:00 and wake up around 7:00. You are taking two naps a day morning and afternoon. You are a really turned into a great sleeper.

You are a true joy to us Lilly and love your sweet little personality. You are very easy going and just kind of go with the flow of whatever we are doing. I guess that is what kind of happens with the second one. You have loved being in the water this summer and enjoy riding in the stroller on our walks. You LOVE your sister and get so excited when she comes around. You are starting to get mad when she takes a toy away from you. We are really practicing the word sharing at our house these days.

I can Crawl!

It's official we have a crawler on our hands!! Lilly crawled on all fours this morning going forward! Yeah Lilly!!!

I can Clap

Lilly learned how to clap today. She is so proud of herself!!! We love you Lilly!!!

Lilly is 8 months old

You are such a sweet, sweet baby. This past month with you has been so much fun. You have such a cute personality and LOVE to smile at everyone!!! Physically you are all over the place-not yet crawling on all fours, but you manage to get around where you need to go. You are also pulling up-we are moving your bed down this weekend. You love to babble and yell for fun!! You still say dada a lot still working on momma. When Blakely comes around you squeal with delight-you love your big sissy. She loves you too. Eating: you eat about 2 meals a day, 3 bottles and I am nursing you morning and at night. You will eat about anything. You eat Fruit Puffs for a snack and do a great job picking them up and feeding yourself. You are sleeping from around 7 to 7!!! Yeah for mommy!!! Taking about two naps a day. You don't have any teeth yet, but I'm sure you will get one soon. We love you Lilly!!!!

Lilly is 7 Months Old

Lilly you are such a fun little girl these days. You are a lot more mobile than Blakely was. You are scooting on your tummy everywhere and get caught in many precarious places. The funny thing is that you only scoot backwards. You are still nursing and also taking 1 to 2 bottles of formula a day. You are eating two meals a day and are not picky eater at all. You have loved any food I have given you. You love to babble, smile and laugh. We are finally sleeping all night. There are a few days that you do wake up early, but for the most part we are all getting more sleep. We love you little Lilly Pad!!!!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Lilly

Happy ½ birthday Lilly Pad! You are such a sweet little girl and for the most part you are happy all the time. We all love you so much and can’t believe that 6 months has already passed.
Stats:
16 lbs 9 ounces 70%
26 ½ inches 70%
Sleeping:You still are waking up once or twice in the night. I have tried numerous things, but not sure what to do… I have let you cry up to 20 minutes, but I can’t go to sleep with you crying so I just get you up and nurse you back to sleep-I know I’m being used as a pacifier, but mommy needs some sleep too. You do very well during the day-usually 2-3 naps a day. You always fall asleep fairly easy for your naps and when you first go to sleep at night.
Eating:I’m still nursing, but I am supplementing with formula about twice a day. You have eaten squash, avocado, sweet potatoes, apple sauce, bananas and cereals. I have been making some of your food and it is actually easy. Just takes up some time.
Playing:You are sitting up so well. You get mad when I lay you down to play, except on your tummy. You are grabbing everything and putting it in your mouth. When on your tummy, you scoot around all over the floor-you are more physical than Blakely was at this age-I guess you want to keep up with your sissy. I’m sure you will probably be crawling in the next couple of months. You love the exersaucer and jumper.Other stuff:You still don’t have much hair, but it is starting to come in-it’s a lot lighter than Blakely’s hair. Your eyes are still blue. You LOVE to take baths and love splashing in the water. You enjoy outside. You love Blakely and watch her every move. You love to smile and are ticklish on your chest and your tummy-your laugh is adorable.We love you Lilly and look forward to more smiles and giggles!!!

First Rice Cereal

Lilly enjoyed her first taste of rice cereal yesterday. She did pretty well and seemed to enjoy it. It's hard to believe that next week she will be 4 months old

More First for Lilly

3 Months Old

Yesterday you turned 3 months old. You are such a true blessing to us. Here are some things you are doing.
-holding head up very well
-sucking on your hands a lot
-trying to roll over-from your back to your tummy-you can almost do it.
-you don't like tummy time very much
-still nursing
-you still wake up about once or twice a night. The other night you woke up at 5. I was very excited.
-take good naps during the day
-you still spit up a lot, but only take meds when needed.
-love taking baths
-love to sit in our laps and watch what is going on
-enjoy smiling and cooing
-wearing 3-6 months clothes, size 2 diapers
-still have beautiful blue eyes
Overall you have become a more happier baby and are growing so fast. We love you Lilly!!

2 Months Old

Wow! You are already two months old. You are changing so much everyday. You are very alert and love to look at people and especially the fan. You have the cutest smile and are starting to coo and babble. When I took you to the Doctor the nurse couldn't believe how alert you were and how much you were smiling and watching her. She said most babies aren't like that until around four months. She said you were advanced for your age. I told her you just had a strong personality and told her she should see you when you are mad.
Eating: You are such a great eater. During the day you can go 3 hours, but in the evening between 2 and 3. You are still being breastfeed. I have been pumping to get you use to the bottle so when I do have to leave you won't be so upset.
Sleeping: Well I can say that last night you went to sleep around 10:30, sleep until 3:30-ate-and then sleep until 7. This was the first time you woke up only once, most of the time you wake up twice. Let's say a prayer that you will continue to follow last night’s schedule. During the day you are on the Eat-Play-Sleep schedule.
Play: This past month you have changed your mind and decided that you like your swing. You also like the bouncy seat. You also love to lay on the floor and move around. You also love to grab objects and you don't let go. Last week you got a hold of Blakely's hair and pulled it out-lets just say we had tears. I keep the hair and took a picture. WOW!!
Weight: 12 lbs 85%Height: 22 inches 75% Reflux: You are still taking medicine, but I only give you the zantac when needed. I hope that you will grow out of it. I also have quit drinking milk and not having a whole lot of dairy. This really has seem to help with the fussiness. The other night I had ice cream and the next day you cried a lot. So no ice cream for mommy until I am done nursing you. You are going to get your shots next week. We thought that insurance would cover them, but they only cover a certain amount of money a year, so we will have to take you to the health clinic for shots. ughhHappy 2 months Lilly! We love you!
