It's so hard to believe that another year has almost come and gone. Our little Blakely is soon to turn 3 in less than a month. She is a ball of energy these days and loves to keep us entertained. I took these pics several weeks ago after church and she loves to dance around in her dresses.
She is VERY excited about her party and tells every stranger we see that she is having a flower party-yes they kind of look at us a little strange so we have to explain it is for her birthday. Silly girl.
We went to ChuckECheese on Saturday night. We all had a good time, but of course I forgot my camera. Even little Lilly got to ride a few little kiddie rides.

Kumbaya
Well there was no singing campfire songs or roasting marshmallows, but there was fun in the tent outside in our front yard. Daniel and I thought about going camping this past weekend and I suggested lets try out the tent in the yard first before we venture out into the wilderness. So Blakely and her Daddy set out to stay the night in the tent. Lilly and I decided it would be best to stay in the cool AC house. Blakely was super excited and could hardly stand it. Daniel said she talked and talked the entire time and at 10:30 decided she wanted some water so they came inside and we just said let her go to sleep in her bed. She it least lasted about 2 hours. Maybe one day we will take on the wilderness.

Lilly is 9 months old
Our little Lilly is growing so much everyday. She is an active little thing and is all over the place. She is definitely our Lilly the Explorer.
Weight: 18 lbs 40%
Height: 28 1/4 75%
Physical Development: crawls, pulls up on everything, bounces up and down when you hear music, claps, close to waving bye-bye
Verbal Development: Still babbling a lot-this is the main difference between you and Blakely at this stage-you are a lot more physical and Blakely was a lot more verbal. Currently Lilly is concentrating more on the physical part than verbal.
Food: I am still nursing in the morning and then you get about 3 bottles during the day. You eat cereal and fruit for breakfast, veggie or fruit for lunch and dinner time is meat/veggie combo and fruit. You have eaten several table foods and really like them. You do not like drinking from a sippy cup at all you throw it down when I give it to you. We will have to continue to work on drinking from the sippy cup.
You go to sleep around 7:30-8:00 and wake up around 7:00. You are taking two naps a day morning and afternoon. You are a really turned into a great sleeper.
You are a true joy to us Lilly and love your sweet little personality. You are very easy going and just kind of go with the flow of whatever we are doing. I guess that is what kind of happens with the second one. You have loved being in the water this summer and enjoy riding in the stroller on our walks. You LOVE your sister and get so excited when she comes around. You are starting to get mad when she takes a toy away from you. We are really practicing the word sharing at our house these days.
We love you so much Lilly Pop!!!

Daddy and Blakelyl Go Fishing
Blakely and her Daddy went fishing the other day together. Blakely was so excited about going and keep telling everyone we saw that day that she was going fishing with her Dada. Daniel said she did really well and caught a couple of fish all by herself. I'm sure this well be a start of many Daddy and Daughter fishing trips.
The Smiths Visit
My good friend Jennifer from HS was traveling this direction and decided to stop by for a visit. Blakely and Lilly had such a fun time with her two children Cameron and Caleb. When we took pictures Lilly was asleep. I think we took a ton of pictures because Cameron’s eyes were always closed. It was fun getting to see you all and hope to see you at our 15 year reunion (yes, I know I am old).
I Love me some Berries!!
A couple of weeks ago Blakely, Lilly and I went to go pick some berries from our neighbors berry farm (it is right beside our house). Blakely absolutely loves blueberries and ate half the bowl by the time we got home-I thought she might turn blue like Violet from Willy Wonka. I took some pics of her and her berries when we got home. My intentions were just to go buy some berries, but we ended up picking them-so that is why I don't have pics from B picking the berries. Blakely had such a fun time.
Our neighbors or so nice and came over and brought us about 5 lbs of berries and said we didn't owe them anything they just want to see Blakely's mouth blue.

Week with our cousins
This past week the girls had so much fun with their cousins-Darby, Colby and Zach. The older kids had Vacation Bible School each morning-my mom teaches every year. So the afternoons were full of fun. We went to the museum in Hot Springs, Magic Springs-just me and the three older kid went-Blakely (had been running fever) and Lilly stayed with my parents, and then to the lake to go swimming. Blakely and Lilly love their cousins and LOVE spending time with them!!!! I will let the slideshow give more details.

First Trip to the Dentist
Blakely had such a fun time at the dentist yesterday. She did such a good job. The hygienist couldn't believe that Blakely allowed her to do all those things to her mouth. When we walked in she gave Blakely the air deal-not sure of the technical term- she held it in her mouth the whole time. When she was polishing her teeth, Blakely would move her tongue all around to try and feel what she was doing, we could not quit laughing. They said her teeth looked great!!! When we were leaving they let Blakely get some different things out of the toy box-they said to get as many as you want-in my mind I thought are you crazy. Well Miss Blakely decided that she was going to get presents for her cousins that she was going to see in the afternoon-she actually came up with that one all on her own. She was so proud of her gifts that she was going to give Darby, Colby and Zach. Her cousins were so proud of all their little key chains. Oh- I need to include that Blakely wouldn't let the male Dentist look in her mouth-she got really shy. Later on that afternoon Blakely asked if we could go back to the dentist. I guess it will be a positive place until they would have to do some work on her teeth.

Two in the Bed-Again
On Saturday morning while we were getting ready I heard some fun coming from Lilly's room-I thought she was taking a nap. Little Miss Blakely had climbed into Lilly's bed and they were both jumping up and down and having so much fun. It was cute at first, until that night at 3:30 AM... I heard them playing again. Not sure who woke up who, but Daniel and I got up several times that night getting Blakely out of the bed. Blakely now gets in trouble if she gets in or attempts to get in Lilly's bed-b/c of safety issues. The joys of a two little girls.
