Christmas Morning 2008

It was an exciting Christmas morning at our house. Lilly woke up first so we decided to wake Blakely up. I told her that Santa had come and brought her and Lilly presents. She did not want to get out of bed. She normally takes a few minutes in the morning to wake up, so I didn't think anything about it. We keep telling her Santa came and left her presents and even went in the living room making a big deal about the presents and Blakely still stayed in bed. After several minutes she decided to come out and was hanging on Daniel's leg for dear life. Then I told her Santa just dropped off the presents and he wasn't here anymore and then she got very excited. Poor thing she thought Santa was still at our house and I guess she thought he was going to pop out of the cottage house and surprise her. Both girls were excited and loved seeing their cottage house and then opening other presents. Blakely just keep saying "oh my gosh, oh my gosh." Lilly tried her best at opening presents, but big sis had to help her out. They both got baby dolls, Lilly got a vacuum and Blakely got a horse and a dancing barbie plus stocking stuffers. After presents and stockings we all sat together and had our monkey bread. What a great Christmas we had as a family.
Look what Santa brought us!

Christmas Eve 2008

This year we decided to stay at our house for Christmas morning-no traveling until after Santa comes to visit. We had a great time as a family. We were busy all day making treats for Santa and to take to Grammy and Papaws. We also made monkey bread for our Christmas morning breakfast. Blakely did a great job helping me this year.

That night we went to our church's Christmas eve service, ate at McDonalds-I know, but it's Blakely's favorite and then went to the Nutt's house to take over some goodies. When we got home we got everything ready for Santa to come. We wrote Santa a letter and left him cookies and some yummy cold milk. Blakely was excited about the whole Santa thing this year. Lilly was just trying to eat the cookies and play with the milk. We read the nativity story and then the girls headed to bed while Santa put everything together. We had such a great day!!

Santa Visit and Pottery

Priceless Picture with Santa

Silly Girls

Last Friday we went with the Nutt Clan to go see Santa and paint pottery. The girls had the best time together. Blakely loved seeing Santa and telling him what she wanted. Lilly on the other hand was a different story. I sat her on his lap and I thought she didn't scream and the next thing I knew she was letting out the biggest cry ever, even Santa jumped. So the picture is priceless Blakely grinning from ear to ear and Lilly screaming her head off. In Lilly's defense she didn't feel that well.
Blakely loved painting her own ornament and both girls loved getting paint on their hands for our Christmas plate. Sorry no pics it was pretty crazy. What great memories...

Christmas Party

Last Thursday we went to the Morris' for a fun family Christmas party. All the kids had the best time playing with each other and the adults had a great time eating yummy foods and visiting with each other. I forgot my camera so I had to steal some pics...

The girls and I went to our 3rd annual Christmas Decorating party at the Silvey's. As always the girls had the best time and love, love their friends. Thanks Leslie and Olivia Grace for having us.

Having a fun time decorating.

Christmas Train in the Park

On Saturday we took the girls to ride the train at the park in FS. The park is decorated with lots and lots of Christmas lights. We stood in line for over an hour to ride for 5 minutes...Luckily the girls got to play while one of us stood in line. They both had a fun time.

Lilly walking around-I need to take a video. She is becoming a better walker each day.

Gingerbread House

Daddy, Blakely and Lilly decorated their first Gingerbread house. It was a such a fun daddy/daughter time. Lilly only got to stay for a few minutes-it was her nap time and she started climbing out of her high chair onto the table. Blakely loved every minute of it and was so happy that she got to do it with Daddy. Blakely did most of the decorating...

Lilly is Walking!

Today Lilly really started walking-we went to the library this morning and they said she is officially a walker-I usually don't say it is official until they walk all the time without crawling! She still crawls, but is standing up or letting go of things and walking around-Yeah Lilly!
She is 14 months old today!

Wizard Of Oz

On Sunday afternoon Blakely and I went to see the production of Wizard of Oz-It was put on by the local high school-but you surely couldn't tell it was a HS production-it was very professional. Blakely was super excited about going to see it since she has watched it so much on TV. She loved every minute of it until after intermission-she was so tired(no nap and previous day was super busy) and she ended up falling asleep in her chair. She then woke up when it was almost over and had a major melt down-so we left before Dorthy clicked her heels-she cried the entire way to the car-fun times, fun times. I think if it wasn't 3 hours long things probably would have gone better. She still LOVED it even after her melt down.

The Square in Fayetteville

After Caroline's party we went to the square in Fayetteville-I know we had a busy day! The girls, especially Blakely loved all of the lights and the ponies. We woke Lilly up when we got there poor thing was still tired. Blakely loved riding her pony and seeing all the pretty lights. After the square we went and ate some yummy pizza at Tim's.

Blakely had the best time riding the pony!

Happy Birthday Caroline!

After breakfast with Santa we went to Caroline's b-day party. The girls had lots of fun playing with their friends. Happy Birthday Caroline!

Lilly loved her cupcake-such a mess!!
