Snow, Snow, Snow and no more children

The past two days have been so much fun for the girls.  We got about 5 inches of snow on Friday.  Blakely couldn’t wait to go outside so we were out there Friday afternoon while Lilly took a nap.  Lilly was so excited when she woke up and saw all the snow.  Saturday morning we got up and headed outside to play-I was completely worn out when we got back inside.

The girls have enjoyed eating snow ice cream, making snow angels, eating snow, a snowball fight with our neighbors and attempting to make a snowman.

Daddy didn’t get to enjoy all the fun because he had a procedure on Friday that will prevent us from having anymore children.  So he has been in bed pretty much all weekend.

NO…MY SONG

I forgot I took videos of the girls singing songs in the bathtub a couple of weeks ago.  They each wanted a song to video.  As you can see in Lilly’s video-she was not happy sharing the spotlight.  They might not know the exact words, but they sure do have fun singing.

Not so good at blogging...

Well I guess I didn't accomplish my goal of blogging it least once a week...or did I say twice a week. Oh well I guess it doesn't really matter...
Last week the girls had a fun time playing outside-the weather was so nice. They loved riding around in their new jeep and playing on the swing set. We also had a play date with the Nutts and enjoyed being outside all afternoon.
At the end of the week Blakely came down with the stomach bug and just let me tell you I'm not a fan of that at all, especially when they are in bed when it strikes. Luckily Lilly didn't get it. She just had a bad cold that turned into an ear infection. Daddy was also sick and was on antibiotics and cough medicine. I actually was the only one healthy. So today we are finally back to normal and our preparing for snow/ice. I don't mind it as long as we don't lose power.
Hope all of you are having a great week!!!

Play Date

Blakely had her friend Rachel over after school yesterday.  They were so excited about getting to ride home together.  Of course we had to make our first stop at Sonic.  I secretly was craving a diet coke with vanilla…hahaha.  They had fun playing dress up, playing with the baby dolls, eating popcorn and making their own little mirror.  Little Miss Lilly tried to keep up with them…we did have a few melt downs from Lilly feeling left out, but overall she had fun with Rachel too.   We loved having Miss Rachel over and sure there will be many more play dates in the future.  Blakely and Rachel PlaydateLilly enjoying her popcorn-YUMMY!!IMG_0567_edited-1 Two Little PrincessesRachel and Blakely

A Whole Lot of Nothing

This is what we have done pretty much all last week.  It has been so cold here.  Blakely did start back to school and Lilly did start Gymnastics(forgot camera so hopefully will have take pictures next time)-but that is pretty much the only thing we had on our agenda.  One of my goals this year is to really try to it least update my blog once or twice a week.  Hopefully I will succeed….hahaha.  Hanging out in our PJ’s IMG_0534Eating my favorite snack-yummy!!IMG_0537    Blakely excited about the Razorbacks victory at the Liberty Bowl-see the screen in the back.  Obviously Blakely picked out her outfit-I get her dressed and then she usually ends up getting into her bottom drawer-Summer clothes-and finds something else to wear.  Silly Girl!!IMG_0535

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas.   Santa made an early visit to our house the night before Christmas Eve.  Blakely and Lilly were so excited to see what Santa had brought them.  Blakely is not much of a morning person so it took her a few minutes to get real excited.  Lilly on the other hand is a morning person and we had to keep her in our room until Blakely woke up.  They had such a great time seeing all want Santa had brought them.  They got to play with their stuff for a little while until we headed to Daniel’s parents.  I only took a few pictures at Nana’s and Grandpas, because my camera got stuck in the car-the doors were frozen shut.  The girls had a great time making cookies, going to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, and playing with Nana and Grandpa’s new kitten.

Family Fun

The Monday before Christmas My Mom, Dad, Darby and Zach came up for a couple of days to do Christmas!  We had lots of fun!!  The girls were so excited they were at our house and had the best time playing with their cousins.  We enjoyed going to see Christmas lights, shopping, eating at the Catfish Hole and of course the kids loved opening Christmas Presents.  The girls loved getting Princess and the Frog stuff from Darby and Zach.  They also got their FurReal Cat (that was on the top of their list) from my parents.

The Girls and Santa-I had to get my oil changed and they had a singing Santa in the waiting room.  Blakely and Lilly had fun dancing. Parent Night at Dance

We all got to go see Blakely dance in December.  This was the first time we have gotten to watch her.  They don’t allow parents back there at all.  It was fun to be able to finally see what she had been learning.   She did great!!!   They did a  ballet and tap routine.  I have video, but it is on our video camera.  We are so proud of her and can’t wait to see the dance recital in May.

Blakely’s Christmas Party

Blakely had a wonderful time at her school’s Christmas party.  She was most excited about getting to wear her PJ’s that day.  All the kids enjoyed painting ornaments, making reindeer food and getting to open presents.
