Week with our cousins

This past week the girls had so much fun with their cousins-Darby, Colby and Zach. The older kids had Vacation Bible School each morning-my mom teaches every year. So the afternoons were full of fun. We went to the museum in Hot Springs, Magic Springs-just me and the three older kid went-Blakely (had been running fever) and Lilly stayed with my parents, and then to the lake to go swimming. Blakely and Lilly love their cousins and LOVE spending time with them!!!! I will let the slideshow give more details.

First Trip to the Dentist

Blakely had such a fun time at the dentist yesterday. She did such a good job. The hygienist couldn't believe that Blakely allowed her to do all those things to her mouth. When we walked in she gave Blakely the air deal-not sure of the technical term- she held it in her mouth the whole time. When she was polishing her teeth, Blakely would move her tongue all around to try and feel what she was doing, we could not quit laughing. They said her teeth looked great!!! When we were leaving they let Blakely get some different things out of the toy box-they said to get as many as you want-in my mind I thought are you crazy. Well Miss Blakely decided that she was going to get presents for her cousins that she was going to see in the afternoon-she actually came up with that one all on her own. She was so proud of her gifts that she was going to give Darby, Colby and Zach. Her cousins were so proud of all their little key chains. Oh- I need to include that Blakely wouldn't let the male Dentist look in her mouth-she got really shy. Later on that afternoon Blakely asked if we could go back to the dentist. I guess it will be a positive place until they would have to do some work on her teeth.

I can Crawl!

It's official we have a crawler on our hands!! Lilly crawled on all fours this morning going forward! Yeah Lilly!!!

Two in the Bed-Again

On Saturday morning while we were getting ready I heard some fun coming from Lilly's room-I thought she was taking a nap. Little Miss Blakely had climbed into Lilly's bed and they were both jumping up and down and having so much fun. It was cute at first, until that night at 3:30 AM... I heard them playing again. Not sure who woke up who, but Daniel and I got up several times that night getting Blakely out of the bed. Blakely now gets in trouble if she gets in or attempts to get in Lilly's bed-b/c of safety issues. The joys of a two little girls.

Lilly learned how to clap today. She is so proud of herself!!! We love you Lilly!!!

Swim Park

We went with the Nutt girls to the Aquatic Center. All of you had such a fun time. Blakely is starting to be more comfortable in the water and Lilly LOVES it. Blakely will get in her ring and go all over the place-she does not want me to hang on-the week before she made me hold on to her. Lilly loves sitting in the water and playing with toys and just relaxing in the water. We look forward to more times at the swim park.

Lilly is 8 months old

You are such a sweet, sweet baby. This past month with you has been so much fun. You have such a cute personality and LOVE to smile at everyone!!! Physically you are all over the place-not yet crawling on all fours, but you manage to get around where you need to go. You are also pulling up-we are moving your bed down this weekend. You love to babble and yell for fun!! You still say dada a lot still working on momma. When Blakely comes around you squeal with delight-you love your big sissy. She loves you too. Eating: you eat about 2 meals a day, 3 bottles and I am nursing you morning and at night. You will eat about anything. You eat Fruit Puffs for a snack and do a great job picking them up and feeding yourself. You are sleeping from around 7 to 7!!! Yeah for mommy!!! Taking about two naps a day. You don't have any teeth yet, but I'm sure you will get one soon. We love you Lilly!!!!

Gymnastics

Blakely started Gymnastics today. She had such a fun time. I think she will end up learning a lot. Of course I forgot my camera and took a picture of her when we got home. I will try to take some next week-that is if I remember my camera.

Happy Birthday Carlee!

We all enjoyed our time at Carlee's 1st birthday party yesterday. It was such a fun party and Keri out did herself. Happy 1st birthday Ms. Carlee!

Here I come

Little Miss Lilly is about to be crawling. For the past month she has squirmed around all over her tummy going backwards-she actually can turn circles on her tummy to get where she needs to go-this has been going on for about two weeks. Now she is starting to get up on all fours-both knees and feet. Maybe she will start to crawl forward. Lilly also loves to stand and can hold on to a table for a few seconds by herself and can hold someone’s hand for a little while as well. Please excuse Lilly's dirty clothes-she just ate dinner.

Blakely aka: Miss Independent, likes to pose for pics. We had camera withdrawal since I've been out with one for a couple of weeks. Some funny stories I don't want to forget:Story 1:The other day she spread out a blanket and said this is my stage and begin to sing a song. After she was done she bowed and said "thank you, thank you." Maybe we have a performer on our hands. Story 2:I told Blakely we had to get ready to go to MDO and she said "OK, I get my purse." Then she found a bag of mine and put it over her shoulder the straps were long so she put it on diagonal-across her chest. Then she said "I have a guitar- Rock N Roll." I laughed so hard... Later that day she asked, "mom where is my rock n roll." -meaning her bag. It is very fun these day to see what her little mind comes up with.

Past Weekend

Blakely and I went to Bella's dance recital Saturday and she had such a fun time-Daddy stayed home and watched Lilly. She didn't know what to think of all the little girls in their cute costumes. Blakely loved watching all the performers and did a fairly good job sitting and watching the show. Bella did such a good job. Blakely can't wait to take dance, but around here they won't let them take until they are around 3 1/2, so we will have to wait another year. Julia also had her second birthday party. Blakely and Lilly had a great time. Blakely LOVES birthday parties and will sing happy birthday all the time. Lilly was a really happy baby at the party and was a perfect little angel-her daddy snuck a few little bites of ice cream to her and she really enjoyed that. Happy Birthday Julia!!The pic of Julia and Blakely-can you imagine them in 13-14 years???-scary thought...

Our Park

In the town that we live we have discovered the park. Our town is very small so I usually don't do very much there since we live close to another town that has more stuff. Blakely absolutely loves it! I Love it because it has lots of shade. Last week we invited The Nutt girls to join us. We had a picnic and the girls played forever. ***I just got batteries for my camera-you have to have a special kind...so hopefully Sara will email me some pictures.
