Almost a month after we discovered Blakely’s tooth was loose…she let me pull it right before bed time. It was basically dangling. She was scared at first but then she got super excited about the tooth fairy coming. She also couldn’t wait to tell her friends at school. The girls wanted to roll there here so that is why we have rollers in our hair. She is growing up so fast!!

Blakely turns 4
On Monday Blakely turned 4! I can't believe that my little girl is 4. She is such a big girl these days and reminds me all the time that she is big now...hahahaWe had a fun busy day on her birthday+it was Daddy's birthday too. First we headed up to Build A Bear. We had never been and I knew the birthday girl would love it. It was so fun because I didn't tell her we were going-I just told her it was a surprise. When we drove up she was so excited!! She immediately went in and picked out her pink pony-aka pink unicorn. She had the best time doing it. Miss Lilly was there the whole time and just had fun looking around-she didn't even care that she didn't have a bear-so I thought we will wait until she is older to come back for her. Our next surprise was meeting some of our friends at McDonald's. Blakely was excited to play with her friends and eat one of her favorite foods. The kids all enjoyed playing and eating cupcakes.
That night we were busy eating Mexican, Blakely's first soccer practice and pre-school open house. Blakely did take some pictures at dinner-she LOVES taking pictures.
We had a fun special day together and I just LOVE my little girl to pieces. I will write more about all the things she is doing in another post-I'm good to get this one done. Oh, if you were worried about Daddy not getting any celebration-we celebrated on the weekend...hahaha

Our Sleeping Beauty
This happened a couple of weeks ago, but it is blog worthy. Blakely has been really fighting with me about taking naps-some days she takes them and others she doesn't. Well this day I told her she could watch a movie and rest on the couch. I was cooking dinner and I walked in and found her like this. My sweet little girl-Mouth open and all!!

Blakely's 3rd Birthday Party
Blakely had a great party in the park! Rain or shine!
Blakely you had such a fun time at your party. It was a flower theme held at the park. Your two favorites. When we got there to decorate you asked where are my friends? You were so excited to see your little friends when they got there. It was all little girls. Your friends that attended were Bella, Julia, Lila, Olivia Grace, Caroline, Carlee, Lily, Anna Kate and of course your sister Lilly. The beginning of the party was rainy, but that didn't stop the fun. Everyone enjoyed eating, hitting the pinata, singing Happy Birthday, finally getting to play on the playground and planting flowers. You are still talking about your party. We are so happy that you had such a great time at your party...it was fun to plan. We love you-our 3 year old!!!

Gymnastics
Blakely just finished up gymnastics for the summer. Blakely loved it and has learned so much. She has become a lot braver with doing things and has overall really improved from the first day. Her favorites are the zip line, trapeze and jumping on the trampoline. We will start back in a couple of weeks for the fall. She would like to take dance, but the studio closest to us won't let her start until next year. You have to be 4 by December. So until next year we will take gymnastics.

First Trip to the Dentist
Blakely had such a fun time at the dentist yesterday. She did such a good job. The hygienist couldn't believe that Blakely allowed her to do all those things to her mouth. When we walked in she gave Blakely the air deal-not sure of the technical term- she held it in her mouth the whole time. When she was polishing her teeth, Blakely would move her tongue all around to try and feel what she was doing, we could not quit laughing. They said her teeth looked great!!! When we were leaving they let Blakely get some different things out of the toy box-they said to get as many as you want-in my mind I thought are you crazy. Well Miss Blakely decided that she was going to get presents for her cousins that she was going to see in the afternoon-she actually came up with that one all on her own. She was so proud of her gifts that she was going to give Darby, Colby and Zach. Her cousins were so proud of all their little key chains. Oh- I need to include that Blakely wouldn't let the male Dentist look in her mouth-she got really shy. Later on that afternoon Blakely asked if we could go back to the dentist. I guess it will be a positive place until they would have to do some work on her teeth.

Blakely is 2 1/2
Wow! Blakely is 2 ½ !!! This is definitely a fun and at times hard stage (it least for mommy)You are very independent! “I do it!!!” frequently comes out of your mouth. You test us all the time. You don’t like time out and seem to be going more often these days. You love to make messes. The past few days, you got into the Vaseline- it was in your hair, carpet, and your clothes-total mess.(check out pic) Then, you somehow got the Benadryl off of the counter and opened it and poured it all over the floor. It can be a little frustrating around here at times, but I know this stage will pass. Here are some other things that you are doing.
First it is great that you are potty trained-it least during the day. There are a few accidents, but when they do happen you totally hate it and cry, cry, cry. You are such a good big sister. You help mommy with getting things for Lilly and when she is crying you try to comfort her. You really have gotten into playing the mommy role with all your baby dolls. You will rock them and pat them on the back and say it's OK baby. You love Princesses. Cinderella is your favorite-I've actually had to hide the rella dress (as you call it) because you want to wear it all day long. You still will find another dress or put on or your tutu. You love crowns. If you have a dress on you must have a crown. It is precious. You already told me that you want a princess party. You love going to MDO (you call it church) You will say "mommy I go to church, play with kids, girls, boys, eat crackers." You love the Ritz crackers!!!You have good manners: will say thank you and please without remindersOur routine at night is read books, sing songs and say our prayers-you always list family members and lately you add your name to the thank you list. So funnyFavorite Food: hot dogs, hamburgers, oatmeal, pancakes, green beans, rice, bananas, apple juice, popcorn and fruit snacks you call them car snacks(the box we bought one time) Favorite Songs: Jesus Loves Me, ABC's, Happy Birthday, and any song from your children's hymn bookYou can: Count to 20, you know your ABC's, recognize B and know that is what your name starts with. If I ask you what your name is you say “Bakey Ezibeth” can pretty much tell us anything you want-sometimes I have to translate for others, jump, run, working on the tricycle thing, you are learning so much all the timeFavorite characters/Movies: Dora, Cinderella, Backyardigans, Cars, Nemo, Little Einsteins You love to play with your little friends: We do a lot with Bella and Julia-you have so much fun when you all three get together. You love your little friends in NWA, but since we live some distance away we don’t get together as much as we would like too. You LOVE our dogs, Jeb and Chloe-you all three are best buds.
You are such a joy Blakely and have truly blessed us immeasurably.

14 Months Old

Blakey you are absolutely so much fun! We are still working on the walking thing. You will walk from me to daddy, but you just won't let go of anything else. I know you can do it! You love to talk-maybe you get that from your mommy. We understand most of the words that you do say. Dada and Dog are your favorite. You think that every male is Dada. You even were calling Bellas Barbie Ken doll Dada! You have pointed to your nose, mouth and eyes and say the words. You are all over the place and are starting to get very curious about what is in the cabinets and drawers. As you can see in one of the pictures, Blakey is attached to her blankee. Most of the pictures that I did take have her blanket in her mouth. We already have purchased two of them in case of emergency. We might need to get another one if the attachment to the blankee continues. We love you pea potters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

13 Months Old

Blakely you are growing way too fast! You are such a sweet little girl and we are having so much fun with you.Well, I wouldn't say that you are officially walking yet, but you have taken about 5-8 steps between me and your daddy. You are still very cautious about letting go of something and taking that first step. I know you can do it but you are just taking your precious time. You crawl and cruise all over the house. You are into everything! You are saying new words everyday. You try to repeat what we are saying. It is so cute. I think your favorite word to say is bye, bye. I guess since we are always on the go. Having two dogs in the house keeps you busy with always saying “dog, dog, dog.” If you see a picture of a dog or a statue you start pointing and saying “dog, dog.” You say outs for outside. You will crawl to the front door or the door to the garage and start saying outs… You love being outside! Blakely you are able to point to your mouth, nose and sometimes eyes. Reading all you books is one of your favorite things to do. You will go to where your books are, pull them all on the floor and start flipping all the pages. Sometimes I think you just like to pull things off of the shelves. You love to take things out of baskets/boxes and then put them back in. You can entertain yourself for a while doing this. You are still a great eater. You eat anything we do. You really love your fruit, especially bananas. Scrambled eggs and toast are your favorite for breakfast. Lunch and Dinner is usually some type of meat, veggie and fruit. If you have already eaten and we eat after you, you will basically beg for our food. You want what we are drinking and eating. Your daddy has been giving you ice cream lately and you act like you can’t get enough of that yummy ice cream.
You are a true sweetie and we love you so much!!!

My First Birthday Party

You had your first Birthday party on Saturday. You had such a good time with your family and friends. We had a duck theme for your party. You enjoyed eating your cake, playing with all of your friends, getting into the kiddie pool and holding on to all of the balloons. Blakely you loved all of your new toys. Eating your own little cake was great. You just keep eating it and eating it. We really want to thank everyone for coming to the party and being so giving to Blakely. We especially want to thank your great Grandma Jenna for coming. It was so special for her to be there.
12 Months Old

Wow Blakely! We can't believe that you are one. It seems like you have been with us forever. This past year has been wonderful and we look forward to the next year as you begin to learn more and more.
Stats:Weight: 20 lbs 6 ozHeight: 30 1/2 inches
Clothes: 12 months, size 3 diaper
Teething: still have six teeth
Movement: This past month you started crawling and started getting into everything. We thought you would skip crawling, but you just took you time until you wanted to do it. You pull up on everything and cruise all around. I honestly think it will be a couple of months before you begin walking. You are fearful of just hanging on with one hand when we are walking with you.
Eating: You eat almost everything. I still give you 3rd foods cereal, but everything else is table food or toddler food. You love scrambled eggs, toast, any fruit, peas, carrots and green beans. I really could list almost any food. We are so glad you are a good eater.
Talking: You are saying a lot of new words. You try to repeat what we are saying. If I ask you to come here you can crawl to me. You will bring me some of you toys if I ask you. There are times I think you have your own little conversation with yourself. You love to say Bye Bye! Anytime we walk toward the garage you start saying it.
Toys/Books/Activity: You got a lot of new toys for your b-day. We can't wait to start playing with them. You still love balls and are really good at throwing them. Your dad thinks that one day you will be the star soccer player. You love putting things in boxes and then taking them out. You love books and are starting to want me to read the same book over and over. You like to watch TV. You love the DoodleBops and Elmo.
Blakely we look forward to the next year with all the exciting changes that you will have. We love you so so much and are so proud of you.
Oh by the way you have turned into a daddy's girl. When your daddy comes home you want nothing to do with me and you want everything to do with your daddy. It makes your daddy so proud.

10 months Old

You are such a fun little girl! We are having so much fun with you. You are truly amazing. You are really starting to become your own person. It seems as though you are already miss independent. You will push our hands away so that you can do it yourself. You love playing with all of your toys. You bang them, throw them and try to put them all in your mouth. You are very talkative and are saying new words all the time. New this weekend was papaw. You are also able to point to the sun, stars and birds that are in your bible book. You love books and want to read them or flip the pages all the time. When we go in your room you start saying book, book. You also are starting to wave bye, bye. It is so cute to see your little hand wave bye. Blakely I assume that you are going to skip crawling and go straight to walking. You want to stand all the time. You can stand by yourself for about 8-10 seconds. You are still working on pulling up. I think that you are pretty close to cruising around the furniture. You are still a great eater. You have tried a lot of new foods and are enjoying them so much. You love yogurt, veggie or fruit puffs, wagon wheels, 3rd foods cereal, cheese, crackers almost every veggies and fruits. You had a waffle this weekend and loved it. The only thing you don't like is 3rd foods with meat in them. I am still nursing you twice a day and then the other times you get milk. You also love to feed our dogs. They are right underneath your highchair and you always are giving them food. You have four teeth. Teething has not been very fun. You tend to be very fussy and I just hate it since you are usually not this way. We are also starting to say no-no for some things. I taped my hand on the kitchen counter the other day and said no-no (I'm sure it was because you were feeding the dogs) and now when I say no-no you hit your hand on something. You are a funny girl and we love you so much!!!
